Chapter 2: The Legendary Bathsuk.
Kyan sat slowly on the bed, carefully placing the box in front of him.
'Ok, let's see what we can find in the inside' he said rubbing his palms together before reaching for the box.
His hands hadn't even gotten close to the box when it opened.
Ignoring the scenery, he took the glowing book out of the box and inspected it, all the writing on the book's cover was in three different languages.
One was written in SPANISH, THE SECOND WAS IN FRENCH AND THE THIRD ONE... KYAN COULDN'T PLACE HIS FINGERS ON IT.
'Solo Uno es Superior'
"Bathsuk régnera, mais une lumière viendra"
"✓•π€°~§∆'
Deciding to totally ignore the wordings on the book, he opened the book to the first page and a great shock overwhelmed him.
He saw the picture of two giant and ugly monsters.
It was Bathsuk and Mandelvat.
Legend has it that this two brothers were neither from the same time nor from the same womb.
Bathsuk was a monster while Mandelvat was a beast.
Bathsuk had greater powers but he was never found worthy by the three God's of the Depths.
Mandelvat had less powers but the gods worshipped him.
Bathsuk grew angrier everyday at the thought of this and proposed to be the strongest, even stronger than the gods and indeed after few centuries, he emerged as the most powerful being in the depths but...
There was always a deed to be done and that was going to be the beginning of his undoing.
Maldsuri, the God of uprising storm, sensed Bathsuk actions during his attempts and placed a life long curse on him and the entire Depths, which stated that no matter how powerful such being can be, he will always have a superior, but for centuries, the spell only worked effectively on the commoners in the Depths cause, Bathsuk was yet to find a Superior.
'Unless Bathsuk finds a Superior can there be peace even until the human race'
That was the last two sentences and statement on the third page.
Kyan sighed heavily and then smiled, he felt like he was losing it, the book was a bit too much for him but, he knew he had to keep on going.
On the fourth page of the book, Kyan saw a transformed Bathsuk, he looked quite handsome as a young man.
Kyan was still smiling at his picture when something struck him... The young man looked exactly like his dad, except that his dad was dead.
Holding the book, Kyan ran back to the study.
'Granny, can I have a picture of my dad please' he asked with a cute and tiny voice.
There was moist in Granny's eyes as she gave him a photo of his mother and father on their wedding day.
Slowly and Fearfully, Kyan opened the book and placed the photo close to Bathsuk transformation photo and...
'He is the great one's son!' Ralph yelled in fear.
Granny sighed and said some few words in her language, creating a portal to the hall of the great wizard of Amalton.
'Come with me, Kyan, Spirit being are not allowed' she said as she walked into the portal.
'Allabat, I bring to you the chosen one, Bathsuk's true blood' Granny said as she held Kyan's hand.
'Then without delay, we must start the preparations' the voice said before appearing in figure.
Kyan felt uncomfortable as he had to endure the wizard's intense inspection.
'Hmmm, not bad for a superior's son but... Does he know who you are?' Allabat said with a smile.
Kyan, looking more confused turned to his granny and watched her transform into a witch.
'Back home, I thought I could keep him, I didn't want any of this to happen, at least until he finally understood his important role in life's work but...
'Bathsuk terrible reign shall soon overshadow the entire human reign and not even his mother will be spared' Allabat said to Granny.
'But...
'Do you really think that Bathsuk can ever fall in love with anyone, he is all for himself' Allabat warned as he made his way to a table which had bottles containing different mixtures of portion.
'Once the moon rises, there shall be an uprising ranting, which shall wake all from their slumber and shall put them all asunder, until the true one steps into the land of the Depths shall there be peace till eternity.' The wizard chanted repeatedly.
'He isn't ready' He finally said to Granny.
'Kyan has to be eighteen to be ready' he added before the blue smoke that erupted during his chanting finally dispersed.
'The whole world would have been in ruins by then, Kyan is just ten years old.' Granny said with a tensed voice
'Maria, Bathsuk won't come until Kyan is ready but by then... He will be more ruthless, make sure that no matter what happens, Kyan never face is father, cause once Kyan get lost in Bathsuk's eyes, there will be no remedy for his madness' the wizard explained before disappearing.
At some point, Kyan felt glad but, his gladness faded away the moment he remembered the wizard's words.
Trying not to get too lost in thoughts, Kyan held onto the human form of his granny and they both walked silently through the portal and back to their home and to their ugly surprise... Amelia and Ralph were missing!
