Chapter 24: Command Center

The group sat in the spacious living room of the base's main house in anticipation of Qianqian's explanatio, The atmosphere was tense but expectant.

Qianqian took a deep breath, steadying herself. "I know you've all been wondering why I brought you here, why I've asked for your help with such massive preparations—"

She was interrupted by Wei Jian, who leaned forward, his calm but firm voice cutting through her words. "Qianqian, you don't need to explain."

Qianqian blinked, momentarily thrown off. "What?"

Wei Jian's sharp eyes softened slightly as he continued. "We've been watching you, the way you've planned everything, the precision with which you've built this base, and the sheer effort you've put into making it safe. No one would go to such lengths unless it was for something serious."

The others nodded in agreement, their expressions ranging from quiet understanding to subtle admiration.

"And," Wei Jian added, his voice lowering slightly, "we've seen it—the power you have. The way you move those items from the trucks without even lifting a finger. That wasn't normal. You don't need to explain things you're not ready to share just to gain our trust."

Lin Mei chimed in, her voice soft but resolute. "We're here because we trust you. Whatever this is—whatever's coming—we'll stand by you."

Long Hao, silent as always, gave a firm nod of agreement. Beside him, Rui Feng, his expressive eyes filled with determination, spoke up. "If there's one thing I know, it's that you're doing this to protect us. So, tell us what you need, and we'll do it."

Lei Ming crossed his arms, a faint smirk tugging at his lips. "You don't need to justify anything to us. We're already in this together, aren't we?"

Qianqian looked around the table, her heart swelling with gratitude. "I… I don't know what to say."

Wei Jian leaned back, a faint smile on his face. "Say thank you and let us help. I'll keep working to get more weapons and gear. Long Hao can handle more vehicle modifications with He Jun's help. We're in this for the long haul."

Qianqian took a moment to compose herself, then smiled. "Thank you, all of you. I promise, I'll do everything I can to keep us safe."

She turned to Wei Jian and his brothers. "I was going to tell you this later, but… the house next door is yours. It's fully equipped with electricity and water. You've all earned it."

The brothers exchanged surprised glances. "You didn't have to do that," Wei Jian said, though there was genuine gratitude in his tone.

"I wanted to," Qianqian replied. "This base is as much yours as it is mine."

Lin Mei raised her hand playfully. "What about us?"

Qianqian chuckled. "I was getting to that. Come outside."

The group followed her out into the open airThe cubs trailed behind them, playing and nipping at each other's tails. Qianqian gestured toward a plot of land right next to that of the brothers.

"Let's build it here ", she then proceeds to open the system's interface. The point balance had gone up to 61,150 points after the solar and water connection.

The opened the mapand zoomed into Zone A,then she picked the plot close to the other and began construction. She chose the same style and design as the other.

[Residential Building Construction: Cost 10,000 Points. Confirm?]

She tapped on confirm and the construction began.

Before their eyes, the ground shimmered with light, and the outline of a house began to take shape. Walls rose from the earth as if being pulled by invisible hands, and within minutes, a sturdy, two-story house stood in the once-empty plot.

The group watched in awe, the soft sound of the wind carrying their quiet murmurs of amazement.

Lin Na, clutching Lin Mei's arm, whispered, "That's… incredible."

Qianqian turned to the sisters. "It's all yours. Fully equipped with solar power, water, but you'll have to furnish it though."

Lin Mei stepped forward, her eyes wide. "Qianqian, I don't know how to thank you."

"You don't need to," Qianqian said, smiling. "Just keep working with us. The more prepared we are, the better our chances of surviving what's coming."

Qianqian wasn't done yet, Wei Jian had notified her of the need to build a command center.

The Command Center is a central hub for surveillance, strategy, and coordination. Equipped with advanced systems for monitoring, communication, and tactical planning, it is the nerve center of any secure base.

"Command Zone costs 15,000 points. Additional customization costs may apply. Confirm?"

Qianqian confirmed the construction, mentally bracing herself for the deduction of points.

Points Remaining: 36,150

A glowing grid formed in the empty plot near the base's center, and the ground began to rumble softly. The group watched as walls materialized, shimmering with a metallic sheen.

The building expanded upward into a sleek, two-story structure with a curved, modern design. The exterior walls were reinforced steel, gleaming with a polished gray finish. Solar panels lined the roof, seamlessly integrated into the building's architecture.

The main entrance featured a set of double doors made of shatterproof glass, with a security panel installed beside them. Above the doors, the system displayed the words "Command Zone" in bold, glowing letters.

Qianqian already had all equipments,so she furnished and connected them all to electricity through the system.

She lead the group inside once the system notified her that construction was complete. The interior was as impressive as the exterior, with every detail designed for functionality and efficiency.

____

First Floor: Tactical Operations

Surveillance Room: The first room they entered featured a wall of screens displaying live feeds from various cameras. The system had linked the Command Zone to the base's existing cameras and even allowed for the installation of new ones throughout the surrounding forest.

Control Panels: Beneath the screens were sleek control panels with touch interfaces, allowing users to zoom in on specific areas, adjust camera angles, and review recorded footage. Rui Feng's eyes lit up as he immediately started exploring the system's capabilities.

Meeting Area: A large round table with ergonomic chairs dominated the center of the room. The table had a built-in holographic projector for displaying maps, plans, and data.

Communication Hub: Rows of devices for radio communication, satellite phones, and encrypted messaging were set up in an adjacent corner.

Second Floor: Strategic Planning

Map Room: This room contained a massive digital map table displaying the surrounding area, complete with real-time updates on weather, terrain, and potential threats. The system offered Qianqian options to mark key locations, set waypoints, and strategize escape routes.

War Room: A smaller, more secure room designed for private discussions and planning. It included a soundproofed space with advanced security measures to prevent eavesdropping.

Archives: A repository of data collected by the system, including survival guides, tactical manuals, and notes Qianqian had added.

Utility Rooms:

Server Room: The Command Zone had its own dedicated server room for storing data and ensuring uninterrupted communication. Rui Feng noted its potential for expanding the base's technological capabilities.

Backup Power Unit: A small area housed a battery system powered by the base's solar grid, ensuring that the Command Zone remained operational even during extended power outages.

______

Qianqian turned to Rui Feng, her tone serious. "You'll be in charge of the Command Zone's systems. Make sure everything is running smoothly and learn every function inside and out."

Rui Feng grinned. "You don't have to tell me twice."

"We'll also need to set up more cameras in the forest," Qianqian added. "The more we can see, the safer we'll be."

"And that reminds me", she continued, " Let's get you all registered, okay?"

Lin Na turned confused, "Huh?"
