Chapter 41: 33 Dragon taming speed run
Fortunately for me, that presence was far from me which was good.
'I wonder if this is the true dragon of Clash Continent.' I thought before venturing into the area where I felt multiple auras. Each dragon is around B rank, so it is pretty much easy to find them.
I approached them flexing my aura though I held back I didn't want them to faint after all, they looked similar to their clash of clans counterparts though most of them were greenish-blue colored, and as far as I could feel there were thousands of them roaming in the dragon cliffs probably more and these are weakest dragons, the region I am in consisted of mostly normal dragons.
(General POV)
The dragons froze, their primal instincts screaming at them to flee. Even the strongest among them, creatures of considerable strength compared to most other species, could feel the weight of the aura suffocating their surroundings. Still, they did not retreat. Pride was the in veins of dragons, and to bow or flee without a fight would be a disgrace worse than death.
Leo stopped, his eyes scanning the area. His gaze fell on the largest among the green-brown-scaled dragons—one whose shimmering red eyes marked it as slightly stronger than its peers.
"So," Leo spoke, his voice echoing arrogance, "which of you dares to prove yourselves worthy of serving me?"
(Green-Brown Dragons: B:Rank)
The dragons growled in unison, their throats vibrating with deep, guttural roars. The largest one stepped forward, its pride refusing to let this intruder dominate without challenge. It lunged at Leo with incredible speed, aiming to crush him beneath its claws.
Leo moved as if the dragon's attack were in slow motion. He raised his hand, he released a concentrated wave of his aura. The dragon's body froze mid-air, and it crashed to the ground under the sheer weight of his power. The other dragons backed away, their roars faltering.
"That's it! I expected more maybe I overestimated you." He says before flying higher to look. Further, he would come back later after he had tamed the stronger ones and would ask them to recruit new subordinates.
(Azure Dragons: A- to A+ Rank)
As the green-brown dragons retreated, the air shifted. From deeper within the cliffs, several azure-colored dragons appeared, their scales shimmering like molten sapphire. These dragons were larger, faster, and significantly more powerful than their weaker kin. Their flaming eyes glowed with intelligence, and one of them, a dragon nearly twice the size of the others, stepped forward, releasing a deafening roar that caused the ground to tremble.
This dragon's aura was different, bordering on arrogance. It was a high-level Azure Dragon, the ruling class of this section of the cliffs. Judging by its aura, it was a solid A+ rank. It eyed Leo with a mixture of disdain and challenge.
"Interesting I didn't think I would encounter you here," Leo remarked, a smirk spreading across his face. "Show me what you've got."
The Azure Dragon charged it unleashed a stream of blue flames that could melt steel with a touch, but Leo stood unmoving. With a casual wave of his hand, he conjured a barrier, dispersing the flames harmlessly.
The dragon tried to devour him, but Leo was faster. He vanished and reappeared above the dragon, his fist colliding with its head. The impact sent the massive beast crashing into the ground from the air, leaving a crater in its wake. The other Azure Dragons roared but hesitated, their instincts warning them not to challenge this being.
"Strong," Leo acknowledged, watching the dragon struggle to stand. "But not strong enough." The punch was powerful enough to shatter mountains, but her,e, the dragon, was fine, somehow.
The injured Azure Dragon lowered its head, submitting to Leo, and the others soon followed, bowing their heads as their leader; they would have tried to overwhelm with numbers, but dragons would rather die than sue numbers, not that it would be a challenge for Leo anyway.
Leo instructed them to gather the best of their kin, wait for him, and go towards higher sections of the cliffs.
(Super Dragons: S- Rank)
To the highest peaks of the Dragon Cliffs, two massive figures came out feeling a powerful aura of intruder. Their scales shimmered with a fiery red hue mixed with streaks of gold, and their flaming eyes glowed with an intensity that could paralyze weaker creatures. These were the Super Dragons, rulers of the upper regions of the cliffs, and among the strongest of their kind.
Leo's gaze sharpened as he felt the aura of a S- rank.
One of the Super Dragons roared, the sheer force of its voice creating shockwaves. The other dragon circled above but didn't attack.
Leo smirked, excitement flaring in his eyes. "Good. Let's see how powerful you are in real life."
The Super Dragon lunged at him, its claws glowing with a radiant energy that could shred through a mountain. Leo met its attack head-on, concentrating his divine aura in his fist.
The collision created a defeating impact that could be felt from afar.
The dragon appeared surprised, but soon it spread its massive wings, preparing to unleash a torrent of red flames, but Leo shrugged the dragon flames like nothing with the help of his coat.
The battle was fierce, but ultimately, Leo's overwhelming power and skill proved too much. The super dragons, even together, found themselves, battered and exhausted, bowed their heads in submission.
(Leo's POV)
I surveyed the aftermath of the skirmish, the once-proud rulers of the cliffs now kneeling before me.
"Good," I said, my voice calm but commanding. "From now on, you serve me. Prove your loyalty, and get those you find worthy to serve under me."
"Yes, my lord!" Yeah, they can speak too, it wasn't surprising since the stronger you get the more intelligent you become, or vice-versa, these two are females I thought these were mates but these are twin sisters or so I figured out, shame they can't take a human form but they probably will be able to after I name them.
I instructed one of them to recruit more dragons that I hadn't encountered like Electro Dragons, who are categorized under Elemental Dragons, the primary elements of the dragons are fire and wind but there are rare ones with lightning, earth, and even water affinity, apparently, Azure Dragons also have water affinity but the one I had fought was a rare mutation that had special flames, though I didn't feel a thing.
Her massive form stiffened slightly, a shiver running through her scaled body.
"So," I began, my gaze piercing, "what is that powerful aura I'm sensing nearby?"
It is not the 'true dragon's' aura. It is weaker but still incredibly strong, possibly on par with me, maybe slightly stronger. I didn't feel it before because the true dragon's presence overshadowed it.
The dragoness shivered visibly, her claws scraping against the rocky ground. It wasn't fear of me, but something deeper, some sort of primal reaction. 'Perhaps a hierarchy thingy among dragons.'
Still, she answered obediently.
"It is the Gold Dragon Lord, my lord," she said. "The second most powerful dragon in the Dragon Cliffs, second only to the Great Red."
"Gold Dragon Lord?" I echoed, my interest piqued.
She nodded, her massive wings shifting slightly. "The Gold Dragon Lord commands immense respect and fear among us. Its power rivals the strongest of beings, though it falls short of the Great Red. It serves as the guardian of the cliffs, ensuring that only the worthy can ascend to the upper regions. Many dragons pledge loyalty to it willingly, but none dare to challenge it outright."
I leaned back, considering listening to the information; it was probably the Giant Dragon from the campaign map. "So, this Gold Dragon Lord is essentially the gatekeeper to the highest levels of your hierarchy. Interesting."
The dragoness nodded her head again, "Yes, my lord. Its power is ancient, and its aura inspires awe among all who feel it. However, I believe you could challenge it if you wished."
I chuckled lightly, the sound almost drowned out by the howling winds of the cliffs. "Let's not get ahead of ourselves. For now, my focus is on building a proper force. The Gold Dragon Lord will come later."
The dragoness bowed deeply, her massive wings folding neatly at her sides. "As you command, my lord."
With that, I dismissed her, my thoughts already moving ahead. The Dragon Cliffs were proving to be a treasure trove of potential troops. But I had no intention of rushing things. For now, I would bide my time and fortify my growing domain. The Gold Dragon Lord would wait, for now.
(Top of Dragon Cliffs – Great Red)
The golden dragoness nestled closer to the towering crimson-scaled Great Red, her voice a curious purr. "Did you feel it, my love?"
The Great Red shifted lazily, his massive body radiating an aura of immense power. "Probably my brother Leo. He's probably down there, recruiting dragons for his army. I suspect he even fought our daughters."
The golden dragoness blinked, her golden eyes narrowing. "Hmm. Your brother must be strong if he could handle our daughters. Even if they're nowhere near our power, they're still formidable."
Great Red chuckled, his voice rumbling. "Of course, he is strong. He's my brother!"
The dragoness deadpanned, her voice flat. "OUR daughters. Alone. He defeated them."
Great Red shifted, looking mildly sheepish but still smug. "Well, naturally. Leo's strong. It's in the family."
The golden dragoness sighed before narrowing her gaze. "But there's something I don't understand. You're a True Dragon, but your brother is... a Humanoid God. How does that even work."
Great Red tensed, crimson scales faintly darkening. "Ah… well, you see, my mother was a Dragon Goddess. A powerful one," he said with pride, attempting to divert the subject.
The dragoness raised a skeptical brow. "A goddess, huh? Then why does your brother's lineage feel so… different? Wait. Don't tell me... your father did he mate with a dra—"
Great Red cleared his throat, a sound like an earthquake, and glared. "Don't. He didn't do what you're thinking."
The dragoness smirked. "So, no scandalous shenanigans, then?"
Great Red shifted uncomfortably but eventually gave in. "Fine. I'll tell you. But don't blame me if it sounds ridiculous. This all started eons ago when my father got bored and decided to have some fun in a world created by another God…"

The story will reveal reasons for Leo's shitty luck in his previous world, how Great Red is his brother.
