Chapter 1224: Olivia Coyett
-----
"Who is there?!"
"A flying car?!"
"Hey, don't approach it! It could be a sorcerer!"
"Shit!"
The SWORD agents panicked so much they surrounded the entire car pointing their weapons, guns, and magic at it.
I quickly had to open the door and calm them down, saying it was me…
"Please calm down! I'm Elayne, I-I'm also a registered agent, Rose sent me here!" I said. "Please lower your weapons…"
The Agents gasped, most of them quickly recognizing me, they lowered their weapons one after another as they sighed in relief.
"Ah, it was Miss Elayne…"
"Seriously, that was scary!"
"Miss Elayne, how did you make it so a car could fly and even have stealth like that?!"
"This is incredible without a doubt!"
"Ah, well, using a lot of special magic…" I said. "Err, I also came with a large group of affiliated allies, through what I signed, they're also technically agents too. Please come out, everyone."
Like that, the entire car was emptied as my entire party stepped out.
"Hello everyone," said Mark, a bit embarrassed. "We've come to help as well."
"We heard there's a lot of monster nests, so please let us assist you," Rita smiled confidently, crossing her arms.
"We're new to this whole thing but… please give us any work you got," said my daughter.
"We'll work hard!" Anna said.
"Auntie said that there's a lot of monster nests here, right? And a big one…" said Elisa. "Let me go there and wreck it all!"
"Elisa, be more careful, you can't go risking your life like that…" said Monica, sighing.
"Hi!" Lily waved her hand. "Here to serve… Um, the country!"
The agents of SWORD glanced at one another, their distinctive white uniforms with a sword-shaped insignia made them rather notorious everywhere, there were also, however, members of Canada's military here as well.
Though they were even more confused as they were only recently introduced to all sorts of magical and supernatural things.
"Damn there's a lot of military men here dude… Should we really be here?" wondered Jenny, feeling nervous.
"Totally, don't worry about anything," I said. "Gabriel… Ah, I guess they can't see you, it's better that away anyways."
"Really?" he wondered, tilting his head. "Oh! I can sense a lot of monsters here…"
"I see, then it's the right place," I nodded. "Did you get the call from Rose?"
"Huh? No, we have not received anything yet." Read exclusive adventures at empire
"The Agent that's in charge of this area will come briefly, please wait for her."
"So there's a new Agent here, not just the lackeys?" wondered Rita.
"Seems to be the case," said Mark, glancing at his hands and then closing and opening them constantly. "Hmm, I feel like I should be able to evolve my physique pretty soon. Maybe I need to beat some monsters first. And gather more materials."
"Nice, I got you some materials already prepared!" I said. "And-"
"So there you are."
Suddenly, the voice of an adult woman echoed from the front. We all fell silent, watching her approach. The sound of her heels echoed across the forest; her steps were strong.
Without us realizing, she was already right in front of us though, it was as if… she skipped space or something!
"Huh?! Ah!"
I looked up, to see a tower of a woman, definitely over two meters of height, with a slender figure of a mature woman. Her face was flawless, with clear white skin and… blue eyes? Although I couldn't notice as she was wearing sunglasses.
Yes, they were blue, I noticed how much they glittered, resembling small stars. She wore a long black skirt with a white blouse without sleeves. Her slender arms were covered with blue tattoos resembling runes.
She was wearing a huge black colored witch hat, protecting her from the strong sun that was out today. The hat was decorated with blue, white, and yellow feathers.
And the rest of her body was covered on rings, bracelets, and accessories, all magical.
Oh, and how not to mention her dazzling red hair, cascading down to her hips, silky and shiny.
Her Aura of Mana was…
Immense!
"So you must be the little group that has been helping us this entire time so far…" she glared at us with judgmental, cold eyes. "I see. Nice to meet you, young recruits. It has been a long time since I've seen actual promising people. All of you, however, aren't… normal. You're awakened, right?"
"Y-Yes, that's right," I nodded. "Um, excuse me but what's your name? Are you the person in charge of this station?"
"Yes," she nodded. "My name is Olivia Coyett, renowned Academic Professor of Runic Arts in the Clock Tower, part-timing here at SWORD because I wanted to investigate this city and its ever-growing population of wild monsters. Nice to meet you, Elayne."
"A-Ah, yes, likewise, miss Olivia," I nodded. "This is Mark and…"
"I know," she said. "I know all of you… I've read every report about you, your powers, everything. you're a very interesting bunch, aren't you?" she gently took out her sunglasses, her eyes sparkling like stars. "I'm very interested in seeing what you're capable of, let's get along, shall we?"
She didn't have bad intentions but the way she acted and everything… It was overwhelming, she was definitely not only very experienced, but she was even an academic professor of runic arts?! And in the Clock Tower- what is that?!
"I think your wish regarding meeting someone that belongs to a renowned Magus Family became true faster than you imagined, friend," Rita patted my shoulders. "You are an original Magus, right Olivia?"
"Hm?" Olivia glanced at Rita. "Why, yes! I belong to the Swedish Coyett Family. We are a renowned family of Runic Masters, specializing on the Art of engraving Runes into all things. Our bodies, as you can see, are our first canvas. I consider myself an artist before a Magus."
From Sweden? That's far into Europe, I see…
Though, she talks and acts like a noble.
I have no idea if Nobility Families are still a thing in Sweden, but yeah.
"It's amazing how you've come here from so far away, Miss Olivia," I said. "I was wondering though, what's the… Clock Tower?"
"Oh my! Don't tell me that the little rascal of Rose had not even introduced you to the Mage's Association? Hah! Well, let me introduce you to it while we walk towards the nests you want to visit so badly, come with me."
