Blue Lock: Isagi the egoist

Chapter 11: Isagi, the Charmer

A Double Date in Madrid

The sun hung high in the sky, casting a golden glow over Madrid's vibrant main square. The cobblestone streets were alive with the hum of chatter, street musicians, and the occasional clink of café glasses. Among the bustling crowd, Yoichi Isagi and Sae Itoshi, dressed in stylish yet casual attire, walked side by side.

Isagi wore a fitted white button-up shirt with the sleeves rolled to his elbows, paired with slim black trousers and leather loafers. Sae, ever the fashionable one, sported a navy-blue tailored blazer over a light gray turtleneck, dark chinos, and polished boots. The two boys, despite being only 14, exuded confidence and charm far beyond their years.

Sae glanced at his friend, a smirk playing on his lips. "I can't believe I let you talk me into this."

Isagi chuckled. "Come on, man. You wanted to go on a date, right? Just relax and enjoy it."

As they approached the meeting spot, two stunning women stood waiting—Neneko Chigiri and her daughter, Koyuki Chigiri.

Neneko, the mother, radiated elegance in a sleek, off-shoulder black dress that hugged her curves. Her wavy auburn hair cascaded over one shoulder, and her makeup was flawless, accentuating her mature beauty. Koyuki, her 17-year-old daughter, looked equally captivating in a fitted red dress with a thigh-high slit, her long strawberry-blonde hair tied into a chic ponytail.

When they spotted Sae and Isagi, both women froze momentarily, stunned.

Koyuki whispered, "They're... taller than I expected."

Neneko nodded, her gaze lingering on Isagi. "And much more handsome than they look on TV."

The two boys approached, their charisma making them stand out even in the crowded square. Isagi, ever the gentleman, greeted them first, offering a warm smile. "Neneko-san, Koyuki-san, you both look incredible today."

Neneko blushed slightly at the compliment, a rare reaction for the composed mother. Koyuki giggled, brushing a strand of hair behind her ear. "Thank you, Isagi-kun. You and Sae-kun look pretty amazing yourselves."

Sae nodded coolly, his hands in his pockets. "Shall we?"

The group strolled through the square, stopping at various shops and stalls. Sae had meticulously planned the itinerary, ensuring they'd visit some of Madrid's most iconic spots, including the Plaza Mayor and Mercado de San Miguel.

While Sae and Koyuki talked about soccer—her knowledge impressing him—Isagi found himself engrossed in a conversation with Neneko.

"You're quite mature for your age, Isagi-kun," Neneko said, smiling.

Isagi shrugged, his cheeks faintly pink. "I just try to be myself. You're easy to talk to, Neneko-san. Honestly, you're as charming as you are beautiful."

Neneko blinked, momentarily caught off guard. "You're quite the smooth talker, aren't you?"

Isagi laughed. "Not really. I'm just being honest."

While Isagi's compliments left Neneko flustered, Sae struggled to match Koyuki's bubbly energy. She was enthusiastic about Sae's role as a midfielder, asking detailed questions about his training routine and favorite plays.

"You're really dedicated," Koyuki said, her eyes sparkling. "It's inspiring."

"Thanks," Sae replied, though his tone lacked the warmth of Isagi's. He glanced over to see Koyuki occasionally stealing glances at his friend. His chest tightened, but he pushed the feeling aside.

As the sun dipped below the horizon, the group found themselves at a quiet café overlooking the city. The golden hues of the setting sun bathed them in warm light. After dessert and some playful banter, the date came to an end.

Koyuki leaned closer to Isagi, her voice soft. "You know, Isagi-kun, I had a lot of fun today. You're... really something."

Before he could reply, she kissed his cheek, leaving a faint red mark from her lipstick.

Neneko, not to be outdone, stepped forward. "Thank you for today, Isagi-kun. It's been a while since I've had this much fun." She kissed him on the other cheek, her red lipstick marking the other side of his face.

Isagi stood there, stunned, his cheeks warm and bright red.

Sae, standing a few feet away, looked visibly dejected. Koyuki had said goodbye to him politely but hadn't shown the same affection. Noticing his friend's mood, Isagi approached him, his face still smudged with lipstick.

"Hey, don't look so down," Isagi said, clapping a hand on Sae's shoulder. "Next time, you'll kill it. I'll even help you plan something perfect."

Sae sighed but managed a faint smile. "You'd better."

As they parted ways with the Chigiris, Isagi glanced at the two new numbers saved on his phone: one for Neneko, the other for Koyuki.

He grinned to himself, thinking, I somehow managed to pull both. Not bad, Isagi. Not bad at all.
