After receiving Yamamoto Genryūsai's orders, Kuchiki Ginrei led his squad back to Hueco Mundo.
In the endless white desert, devoid of life, the silence was suffocating.
Following the intelligence gathered earlier, Ginrei and his team hurried toward the entrance to the Menos Forest.
Along the way, they encountered a few Hollows, but to their surprise, these creatures—normally hostile—fled at the sight of the Shinigami, as though they had seen their natural predators.
After dispatching the weaker Hollows, Ginrei couldn't help but feel puzzled.
Throughout his centuries-long career, from his days at the Shin'ĹŤ Academy to becoming a Captain of the Gotei 13, he had never witnessed such behavior in over five hundred years.
Even weaker Hollows, such as ordinary Menos or Adjuchas, had always shown aggression toward Shinigami due to their innate hunger for spiritual energy. The current situation was inexplicably strange.
According to the intelligence provided, Ginrei led his squad swiftly toward their destination.
Eventually, they arrived at a vast, unconstructed white palace, an anomaly in the seemingly endless desert. Before them lay a blackened stretch of sand contrasting sharply with the surrounding white dunes, and a massive, 100-meter-long crevasse that seemed to plunge endlessly into darkness.
"Captain! What happened here?"
"Is this crack natural?"
"Look! The desert beneath our feet—it's black!"
Ginrei's subordinates murmured among themselves, voicing their growing unease.
After documenting the unusual phenomena, the group cautiously entered the palace and made their way toward the entrance to the Menos Forest.
"In the upper and middle levels of the Menos Forest, the lack of Hollow activity is unsettling," Ginrei noted gravely. "We're approaching the most dangerous lower level. Stay vigilant."
Drawing their ZanpakutĹŤ, the squad descended into the deepest part of the Menos Forest, bracing for combat.
However, what greeted them was an eerie absence of enemies. The Hueco Mundo's most perilous region was devoid of Hollows.
The few Hollows they did encounter were weak and fled deeper into the forest the moment they sensed the squad's Reiatsu.
After thorough investigation and evidence collection, Ginrei and his team uncovered a shocking truth that could send ripples across the entire Soul Society:
Only 10% of the Hollows in the Menos Forest—and even Hueco Mundo as a whole—remained.
More startlingly, not a single Gillian, Adjuchas, or Vasto Lorde appeared, leaving the team to wonder if they had somehow entered the wrong place.
In this moment of realization, a radiant figure flashed across Ginrei's mind—the same one from his earlier suspicions.
"Return to the Soul Society immediately! This must be reported to the Captain-Commander!" Ginrei commanded.
His orders were clear as he instructed the KidĹŤ Corps members accompanying them to open a Senkaimon portal back to the Soul Society.
Meanwhile, in the Seireitei, Aaron remained unshaken as he swung his blade. The massive, black, 100-meter-long sword shadow cleaved through the air.
The remnants of Central 46, now reduced to dozens of panic-stricken elders, attempted futile resistance.
But their efforts were meaningless.
Before a scream could escape their lips, the elders were obliterated, their bodies disintegrating into a mist of blood.
Onlookers, too stunned to process what had unfolded, dispersed rapidly, fearing to provoke the wrath of this god-like figure.
As Aaron sheathed his ZanpakutĹŤ and turned to leave, a towering Reiatsu surged toward him from the horizon.
In an instant, Yamamoto Genryūsai appeared in the blood-soaked clearing, his fiery aura growing by the second.
The Captain-Commander's Reiatsu was like an inferno, spreading in all directions with devastating intensity.
Yamamoto's sharp gaze landed on Aaron, and his spiritual pressure bore down on him like a raging storm.
Yet, Aaron remained calm, elevating his Reiatsu to its peak in response.
The two titans stood motionless, their auras colliding and transforming the area into a barren dead zone.
"Why?" Yamamoto finally asked, his tone cold and piercing.
"They deserved to die," Aaron replied flatly, his expression unyielding.
The brief exchange hung heavy in the air.
Moments later, several powerful Reiatsu signatures surged in the distance as Captain-class Shinigami began arriving at the scene.
"Aren't you afraid the old man will kill you with his own hands?" Yamamoto growled after a long silence.
Aaron glanced behind Yamamoto, noticing two familiar figures—Kisuke Urahara and Retsu Unohana—among the arriving Captains.
With a faint smirk, he responded, "If you rely only on your current state, I doubt you can defeat me. Unlike you, I won't hesitate to act if it comes to that."
The tension between them grew as the scene was charged with spiritual energy.
The Captains arriving one by one could only watch the standoff with grim expressions, unsure of what would happen next.
Suddenly, a portal tore through the fabric of space behind Yamamoto.
