"Men, we come today to execute these heretics for contributing with half-breeds and demons. However, as this is your first-ever assignment out of Umbus Academy, I shall let each of you have your first execution. Stand behind a heretic as I give out a sermon for these bastards." A man wearing a full set of white metal armor with a large red feather on his head ordered his new 'students' as he pulled out a small red book. This man was a paladin.
Hearing those orders, 18 young men wearing gray robes, who had leather armor underneath, squires to be exact, excitedly walked up to a makeshift gallow with a 'heretic' in tow. These heretics were just your average poor peasant trying to live a normal life way out in the outskirts.
But who would have thought that trading some of your food with half-breeds for money would have led to this event?
Olena didn't think that, yet here she was, at the very end of the line, in a literal and metaphorical way. All she wanted to do was have some extra copper coins to help her family's debt, yet she was going to have her head chopped off. With only 8 more people in front of her, she just accepted her fate of dying and laid her head low.
1 by 1, each squire with a smile on their face would drag whoever they had and forcefully slam their heads on the chopping block. As the Paladin gave out prayers, the squire would give a small prayer as they raised their blade up high before cutting through the peasant's neck with ease.
With an unceremonious kick, a squire named Erick, shoves the fresh corpse to a nearby pit and lets the body rot inside. He then grabbed the head and shoved a pike through it. Once that was done, he went to the outskirts of the burning village and placed the pike in the ground.
Umbus Academy taught them this tactic, and Erick couldn't deny that it was cool doing it and brought fear to their enemies. But as he finished carving his god's holy symbol, on the heretic head, he took some steps back to admire his handiwork, only to notice a shadow casting down on him.
Maybe because Erick was too focused on carving the heretic head, he didn't notice the loud thudding slowly walking up to him. It was until he stepped back and looked up that he noticed a massive black jaw covered in purple lines slowly becoming bigger.
[Oh] That was Erick's last thought before Erina snapped her jaw shut, leaving only his feet as the rest of his body was chewed and eaten. Erina didn't know how her body processed food and what it did with it but hey, the system said she could, so she was going to do it.

[Human flesh doesn't taste bad either, maybe some more salt and pepper, but it wasn't that bad. Ooh, I feel, different?] After eating the person, she felt her mind become just a bit… clearer? It was weird to describe, but eating that person had a very small effect on her mind. Oh well, she has some more testing to do, and luckily enough, there are some more test subjects in front of her.
After enjoying her food for a bit, she enters the village and lets out a massive metallic roar, stunning everyone just as the last person, Olena, is about to get executed. With a quick dash, Erina managed to grab a stunned knight in full gray armor and crushed him with ease. Her claws easily pierce through the armor, killing the man instantly.

But just as she was about to shove the dead knight in her jaw, the Paladin was first to snap out of his stunned state and quickly order his men.
"INTO FORMATION NOW! HECKERMAN, JAMIE, START CASTING BUFF'S ON ME NOW. DANIEL, JACKSON, YOUR IN CHARGE OF SHIELDS" Quickly ordering his men, the Paladin, named Armant, started to chant holy spells as the demon in front of him ate one of his knights.
Yet, even with 2 mages focusing on maintaining a barrier made of mana, Erina made quick work of the barrier as she launched several plasma-enhanced missiles from her spine. With 6 missiles launched, it only took 2 of them to destroy the barrier, leaving everyone vulnerable to the incoming missiles. Let us just say, it was not pretty at all.
With the knights holding up their shields and squires hiding behind them, all clumped together, the plasma-enhanced missiles made quick work of their weak fleshy bodies. Body parts were sent everywhere, while those hit directly had the satisfaction of a quick death, those near the blasts had the feeling of being burned alive.
Even then, a massive amount of heat was still being released, and the plasma left a lingering effect, making the air burn whoever was still unfortunately alive. Yet they didn't even get a single moment to rest as Erina managed to jump up and land in the middle of everyone.
Erina let out another thunderous, metallic roar, rippling visible sound waves across the air with a faint purple glow. The plasma-infused shockwave intensified the surrounding temperature drastically, heat radiating so intensely that dry hay nearby ignited into flames.

Finishing her roar, she directed some of her plasma energy to her tail only to feel one of her legs freeze as she saw the man wearing the full set of white armor raise his pure white sword as a white aura spread from him.
"MAY OUR GOD PROTECT OUR SOULS FROM THIS DEMON, RISE AND FIGHT TO LIVE FOR ANOTHER DAY" The Paladin yelled this out as the white aura around him burst and spread into his comrade's bodies.
Erina was unsure what the aura was supposed to do as the Paladin started to quiver. The Healing spell Armant used was supposed to heal those he deemed as friendly, yet no one rose… they were all dead.
Directing some energy to her legs, the ice quickly melted, as she continued to pump her tail full of energy. With another charge towards the Paladin, Erina tried to snap her jaw shut on him, but Armant was able to dodge. Unluckily for the person behind Armant, one of the mages responsible for buffing Armant, he was next in line.
The mage tried to roll out the way but was too slow as Erina shut her jaw on him. With a satisfying crunch, he was quickly devoured, at the same time, Erina felt her energy strength grow a little bit more.
Just as Erina rushed past Armant, he managed to condense his aura into his sword and sliced Erina's armor. It wasn't deep enough to do any real damage, but it brought hope to everyone around him.
"USE YOUR AURA, THE DEMON CAN BE HURT" Armant yelled as he looked towards his knights, but that was his mistake. 5 beams of plasma left Erina's tail, cutting through whoever was alive as their armor couldn't do anything to hot plasma.

[There's 1 more left?] Erina thought it was funny that they could actually win against her, but it did worry her that her armor was damaged. That was something she hoped to fix, and with the current trend that she noticed when she ate something. Maybe eating metals should buff her defense.
But she shook her head as there was still 1 more person she had to kill before she could eat. So she walked around, stomping on every, body she saw, leaving a red paste everywhere she stepped. Yet, she didn't find that last person, he or she was hiding probably somewhere in one of the burnt wooden buildings.
Just as Erina was about to charge up her breath attack to destroy everything around her, she stopped as a young woman, in ripped clothing that did nothing to hide her thick figure, brought out a young man wearing one of those gray robes.
It was the last person she had to kill. But Erina didn't know who that woman was, but we readers know, it was Olena.
Erina just watched as Olena brutally stabbed her final target. Olena was about to be executed but when Erina roared, the young man that was supposed to kill her passed out in fear. Olena passed out too but she woke up faster, and by the time she did wake up, the entire gray fox inquisition was dead.
But the man behind her wasn't, no… he was still alive, yet still passed out. Knowing that she may die soon as she saw that terrible black beast destroying everything, Olena still wanted her revenge.
She wanted the man to suffer for killing her entire family and her friends, so grabbing the heavy sword that was supposed to kill her. Olena grabbed the man by his robe and brought him to the middle of the dirt road. Olena noticed the black beast watching her but ignored it as she didn't care, she only had 1 thing on her mind.
To kill the bastard.
Bringing the sword up, Olena stabbed the man in his arm, she wanted him to suffer before he died. By the time she pulled out the sword, the man woke up screaming in pain as another strike fell on his guts.
The man tried to pull out the sword but was unsuccessful, but he did manage to punch Olena right in the face, knocking her back. With a sword still in his gut and running on adrenaline, he brought out a small dagger from his robe and managed to leave a large gash on Olena's face as she tried to attack him.
Olena tried to back away but with the man being somewhat faster, he managed to cut Olena even more. Bleeding from her face, arms, and chest area, Olena thought she was about to die until the massive black beast saved her.
And by saving her, she meant the black beast devouring the man in a single bite.
Olena watched as the beast devoured the man as blood seeped from its jaw, she felt tears slide down her face as it was finally time for her.
With nothing left, her entire village reduce to ash, her friends brutally raped and killed in front of her, and her family member's heads on pikes. She just wanted to die to be with her family, she had no reason to live as there was nothing left for her or a way to survive.
The area they lived in was filled with bandits, so no way she was going out to walk into the plains just to be captured and made into some sort of sex slave for some bastard.
So she closed her eyes and waited for the sweet relief of death while cursing at her god.
