Batman’s Son in Marvel

Chapter 15: Chapter 15: Arrogant Tony

Adam Wayne's life had been exceptionally comfortable these past two days. Gotham might have been a city of sin, but that only applied to the poor. For someone like Adam, born into the Wayne family, Gotham was nothing short of paradise.

If he wanted something, it would be delivered within hours. If he needed information, Skynet could retrieve it in seconds. It was the kind of privilege most people could only dream of, and Adam had no intention of giving it up anytime soon.

But as he leaned back and savored his morning coffee, his peace was suddenly interrupted by Alfred.

"Master Adam, have you seen Master Bruce?"

Alfred stood at the door holding an elegant invitation card.

Adam shrugged. "I don't know. He probably went out to do his usual vigilante routine. It's normal for him to disappear like that."

Alfred sighed, tossing the invitation onto the table with a look of mild annoyance.

"Well, I suppose this beautiful invitation is going into the trash again."

Curious, Adam leaned forward.

"Who sent it?"

"The military. They're hosting the Capstone Awards Ceremony this year, and the Wayne family was invited to attend."

Adam raised an eyebrow. "Let me guess—Bruce isn't interested."

"Exactly." Alfred nodded. "He never attends these kinds of events. He barely even participates in Gotham's social scene, let alone national events."

Adam smirked. That sounded just like Bruce—ever the brooding recluse.

Despite being one of the wealthiest men in the world, Bruce Wayne's lack of public presence meant the Wayne family was far less famous than companies like Stark Industries or Oscorp.

Bruce preferred working in the shadows, but Adam? He was starting to enjoy the spotlight.

"Wait a second," Adam said suddenly. "This year's winner wouldn't happen to be Tony Stark, would it?"

Alfred glanced at the card and nodded. "Why, yes. How did you know?"

Adam's eyes sparkled with amusement.

"Oh, just a hunch."

After all, Tony Stark's abduction was practically legendary. Adam remembered the story from his previous life—the arrogant billionaire playboy kidnapped by terrorists right after receiving the award.

It was both ironic and pitiful.

"Grandpa Alfred, since Bruce isn't going, how about we attend instead?"

Alfred raised an eyebrow. "Oh? Are you looking to compete with Tony Stark?"

Adam grinned. "Something like that."

The Wayne private jet cut through the skies toward Las Vegas, accompanied by nearly a hundred security personnel.

Unlike Bruce, Adam took his safety very seriously. Gotham might have trained him to be cautious, but he wasn't about to let his guard down in Sin City.

It took just over an hour to arrive, and soon, Adam was stepping into a world of flashing lights and endless noise.

"I still don't understand why the military chose Las Vegas for an awards ceremony," Alfred muttered as they exited the plane.

Adam shrugged. "Who knows? Maybe they wanted to distract everyone with gambling."

"But we're not here for the ceremony," Adam added. "We're here to meet Tony Stark."

Alfred looked puzzled. "Isn't he supposed to be at the awards ceremony?"

"Nope." Adam smirked, pulling out his phone. "Skynet, locate Tony Stark."

"Yes, Master." Skynet's voice responded immediately. "Tony Stark is currently at the largest casino in Las Vegas."

Adam laughed. "Of course he is. Let's go."

The casino was chaotic—a mix of flashing lights, drunken laughter, and endless gambling.

As Adam approached the crowd, it didn't take long to spot Tony Stark.

The billionaire playboy was hugging two blondes, shouting at the top of his lungs while surrounded by cheering gamblers.

"Six o'clock, baby! Yeah!"

Tony kissed one of the women before tossing the dice.

Adam cringed.

This is Iron Man? Seriously?

At this moment, Tony Stark was the very definition of unsightly. It was hard to believe this man would one day build the Iron Man armor and change the world.

Still, Adam composed himself and approached the scene.

Tony, noticing the approach, turned around and immediately burst into laughter.

"Where'd this little guy come from? Can't find your mommy?"

The crowd roared with laughter, and Adam's face darkened.

This idiot.

Before Adam could reply, Alfred stepped in.

"Mr. Stark, please be respectful. This is Adam Wayne, Bruce Wayne's son."

The laughter died down as Tony blinked in surprise.

"Wait, Bruce Wayne's kid?" Tony looked Adam up and down before smirking. "Well, I'll be damned. The son of Gotham's biggest hypocrite."

Adam clenched his fists but forced a smile.

"Mr. Stark, I heard you built your own semi-artificial intelligence. I happen to have made some progress in that area as well."

Tony tilted his head, clearly unimpressed.

"You? Progress? What are you—twelve?"

"Thirteen," Adam corrected with a straight face.

Tony burst out laughing.

"Oh, that's adorable. You think you can talk AI with me? What's next? You want to play house and build LEGOs?"

The crowd laughed again.

Adam's smile grew sharper.

"Well, Mr. Stark, how about we make it interesting?"

Tony's eyes narrowed. "What do you mean?"

"Let's have a competition. My AI against yours. Winner takes bragging rights."

For the first time, Tony seemed to take Adam seriously—or at least, he stopped laughing.

"You've got guts, kid," Tony said, smirking. "Alright. Let's see what you've got."

But beneath his arrogance, Tony couldn't shake the feeling that this kid—Adam Wayne—wasn't someone to underestimate.

And neither of them had any idea that their rivalry was only just beginning.
