Attack Of Parasites

Chapter 32: Care

His pants were wet around the groin due to urination, and his gait was unsteady, reminiscent of someone who had just begun to walk at thirty. His upper body lagged behind his lower body as he moved, and his arms didn't coordinate with his feet. His steps were inconsistent; one step with his right foot was longer than the left, and sometimes it was the opposite. The right foot tilted to the left, while the left foot also leaned left, making walking straight almost impossible without hopping on one foot to correct his path.

"Damn, these genitals are shaped so differently from what I'm used to; this pouch and hose severely hinder my movement. I can't control them well," Oki thought aloud.

The parasite Oki was forced to stop moving. The command from his brain to walk wasn't translating into action. His knees trembled violently, causing him to fall to the ground.

"What is this?? I can't move! Is the body rejecting me?! No one from my kind told me this..." Oki exclaimed.

"I can't even use a body of the opposite sex..." he added, noticing that all the passing cars didn't stop for him, even though they saw him kneeling.

"It must be a woman's body. Leaving the city was a grave mistake; I need to find a woman and transfer again..." the parasite thought, as strange markings began to appear on his body. His pupils disappeared, leaving only the whites of his eyes, and his neck swelled, forcing his head to look upward constantly.

Oki crawled on his hands and knees a little away from the roadside, realizing that in his current state, no car would stop for him, and his only end would be when the police arrived. Leaning against a tree, he waited for the next victim to whom he could transfer.

"I don't need you to do this; I'm fine," Izumi said in response to Morano, who insisted on accompanying him home.

"It's alright, I'll walk with you," Morano said, nodding her head.

On the couch, Murano sat close to Izumi, treating the bruises on his face from the beating he had received.

"I'm sorry for what happened," Murano said, taking the blame for the incident.

"There's nothing for you to apologize for," Izumi replied, raising his right hand in reaction to the pain from the ointment applied to his wound.

"How is your right hand unscathed?" Murano asked, surprised to see Izumi's right hand free of any marks.

"See! Your left hand is completely bruised," she added as she took both of Izumi's hands to compare them.

"You're right!" Izumi gave a forced laugh and let go of his right hand.

"Do you think I'm eccentric?" Izumi asked after Murano finished treating him.

"What?" Murano didn't understand the question.

"Am I not normal?" Izumi questioned.

"Yes, you're definitely not normal," Murano replied.

"How so?" This wasn't the answer Izumi had expected, especially after he had done things that suggested he was human, and he spoke sadly.

"You're amazing!" Murano raised her hands high and said loudly.

Izumi blushed at the compliment, his cheeks turning red, a smile expressing his satisfaction.

"I don't think ordinary people would sacrifice themselves for someone else," Megi said shyly.

"Is that a compliment?" Izumi wondered.

Murano turned her gaze to Izumi, leaned on his shoulder, and said, "Of course."

"You're the only person I know who would do that, even knowing you can't win," Murano added. Izumi couldn't help but gaze at Murano's body, closer to him than ever before. The sweet fragrance of her hair, her small hands, her soft legs—Megumi seemed to force him to notice these details, and Izumi felt an overwhelming happiness.

Time passed as Murano spent quite a while at home.

"Izumi!" Megi appeared behind Izumi's neck and whispered to him.

What Izumi had feared happened: Megi showing up at an inappropriate time. Izumi remained still, his hands clasped together while Murano rested her head on his shoulder.

"Come on, man, this is your chance! Put me on her soft thighs; I really want to touch something soft," Megi whispered in Izumi's ear, encouraging him to fulfill his desires.

"I won't let you down from now on; I'll be active in the baseball games. Come on, or I'll leave without your permission," Megi pleaded and threatened simultaneously.

Izumi raised his head to look at the clock on the wall and said, "It's getting late; my parents are on a trip. Do you want to stay over?"

He knew full well what the answer would be, but he asked anyway in hopes of curbing Megi's enthusiasm.

Murano lifted her head from his shoulder and said, "No, I'll go home."

Her response relieved Izumi, as if a heavy burden had been lifted from his shoulders. Still, he feared that Megi might ruin things, just like he did the day he started pressing against Murano's chest.

At the front door, Izumi bid Murano goodbye with a wide smile. As she walked away, Megi appeared, dissatisfied with the situation.

"How long, you foolish human!!! There's one thing still on my list to do, which is to enjoy the feel of a girl's body, but it seems to me you're a prude," Megi said angrily.

"I'm not a prude, parasite; our relationship hasn't reached that point yet, and I don't want to ruin things like you did before," Izumi replied.

"How frustrating! I thought I'd get to see human intercourse and enjoy the softness of a body," Megi lamented.

"Go back to sleep and stop your nonsense," Izumi said loudly.

"Who are you talking to!!!" a feminine voice came from behind Izumi.

He turned slowly to identify the owner of the voice and found Kaya.

"Did you follow me home?!" Izumi said with a hint of annoyance.

"I came to apologize!" Kaya said as she stepped forward toward Izumi.

"Alright, it's fine," Izumi said, wanting to end the conversation.

"Then let's shake hands; at least the two of us can make up," Kaya said, extending her hand to shake Izumi's.

Izumi hesitated to shake her hand; it was his right hand...

After a moment of hesitation, Izumi decided to extend his hand and shake Kaya's.

The contact lasted for a moment, and Kaya shot Izumi a strange look.

Izumi quickly withdrew his hand after that glance and said, "Sorry, I'm tired." He hurried back into the house.

"You need to be careful with that girl! She's not one of your kind, but it seems she has the ability to sense the wavelengths that only parasites can pick up," Megi said after Izumi closed the door.

"Are you sure she's not one of your kind?!" Izumi asked.

"Murano has a limited vision like humans, but that girl is on a completely different level. You should avoid her as much as possible," Megi warned.

Izumi's parents were enjoying their time together. Takashi was driving, having decided on their destination for the night. Soft music played in the background, accompanied by conversations filled with nostalgia about their beginnings together. The winding mountain roads were surrounded by breathtaking natural landscapes, a gentle breeze blowing in as the sunset added beauty and charm to the scene.
