Chapter 27: The New Fluffy Cafe is Complete!

“Taichi—, is this fence good here?”

“Perfect! Thanks, Snow!”

“Ehehe~”

As the fluffy cafe was nearing completion, Taichi and the others were working on the garden area themselves. They built the fence together, while Taichi adjusted the finer details using his Creation (Physical) skill.

They had also made tables and chairs for the terrace seating, so the fluffy cafe was becoming quite spacious.

The tables featured the cafe’s logo in the center, and the backs of the chairs were designed using wood with the logo’s design.

However, even with the cafe terrace completed, it was uncertain whether there would be immediate demand.

“There might not be many kids who come out that far…”

Taichi thought it would be nice if there were customers who could play with a ball, especially since Cerberus seemed like it would enjoy running around outside.

He also considered that they should simply add more fluffiness.

While working, regular customers occasionally brought snacks. Today, a merchant passing through from the neighboring town brought a lot of cookies.

They all enjoyed them as a treat.

As Taichi pondered what else needed to be done, he heard the boss’s voice proclaim, “It’s finished!”

Turning around, he saw the boss and his apprentice standing in front of the new fluffy cafe.

There was a door along the street and a large window.

The building was made of brick with a red roof. It had a lot of plants decorating it, giving off a calm atmosphere suitable for relaxation.

The large sign that read “Fluffy Cafe” even included silhouettes of the fluffy creatures.

“How does it look!? It turned out really great!”

“Come on, can’t you be a bit more calm?!”

As the apprentice explained points like, “This flower was my choice!” the boss sighed, clearly exasperated.

“For now, this is it. We agreed to adjust the finer details ourselves, right?”

“That’s right. We want to reflect the opinions of the familiars once we actually start using it.”

So, they didn’t expect everything to be perfectly finished right from the start!

(Besides, if I don’t say something like this, using Creation (Physical) will be difficult.)

While the exterior matched the world they lived in, the interior was planned to incorporate the conveniences of modern Japan using his skills.

The main feature would likely be a bath.

(This world doesn’t really have baths as a norm…)

Only a select few, like the wealthy and nobility, have them. Securing water and the process of heating it can be quite complicated.

If everyone could use magic skills, it might be different, but that’s not the case.

With that in mind, Taichi planned to renovate the fluffy cafe extensively.

Taking a deep breath, Taichi looked at the completed fluffy cafe.

When he had first been transported to this world, deep in the forest, he had thought it was all over for him—but now he had obtained such a large fluffy cafe.

“Thank you for building such a wonderful cafe for us!”

“Don’t mention it. That’s our job, after all!”

“I’ll come visit once you start operating!”

“Sure! We’ll be waiting for you!!”

With the fluffy cafe complete, the next steps were simple moving tasks.

The original cafe was intended for Taichi’s home, so they would remove the sign and transport the tools from the kitchen.

The original shop would have its number of tables reduced to create a living space where everyone could relax together.

Taichi had already roughly prepared the interior using Creation (Physical).

He had particularly focused on the kitchen.

He built an oven to be able to bake pizza. That said, he would only be reheating purchased pizzas, not making them from scratch.

There was also a coffee maker that was originally there.

After some experimentation, he found he could even install a microwave. It was surprising how much was possible, but honestly, it was a huge help.

“Did I go a bit overboard…?” Taichi wondered as Himeli, who was working inside, came over.

“Taichi, this side is almost done—wait, what is this mysterious kitchen!? There are so many things I’ve never seen before!?”

“Oh, this is something I brought from my hometown; it’s rare here…”

As Taichi gave a similar explanation to when he described the bath, Himeli sighed and looked exasperated. She had come to understand that Taichi was simply beyond the norm.

“Alright, alright. I’m not surprised anymore! Teach me how to use it.”

“O-Okay. It’s really simple.”

You just set the time and press the heat button.

Since he wasn’t sure about the details of the oven and other appliances, he had chosen a straightforward design for the microwave. There was also a toaster next to it.

He demonstrated by heating water to make hot water.

“I see, I see—magical tool…? Maybe? Anyway, I understand how to use it, so it’s fine! The menu isn’t that extensive anyway.”

“Yeah. If anything comes up, just ask me then.”

“Got it!”

They wanted to gradually increase the menu but had no immediate plans to do so.

After continuing with the preparations, the newly remodeled fluffy cafe was complete.
