Chapter 31: Entertaining guests comes with great rewards
POV AIKO
After ironically embarrassing the boy in front of all the humans, I began to make my way back to my group.
What surprised me was seeing Weiss with them, but I didn't bother thinking on why. As soon as I met up with them, I received a hug from Blake.
"I knew you could win, I just knew it." She said with bright smile, I could only close my eyes on how bright her smile is.
Weiss then approached me and gripped my sleeve again, she had a frown and avoided to look at me.
"I'm sorry you had to go through that, I couldn't do anything." She said, but only smiled and gently patted her head.
"It's alright, there are times we can't control everything, and we can only blame the person who did it." I replied, hearing this, Weiss nodded her head, but still wouldn't look at me.
"Still, he shouldn't have done that. You're our guest." Before I could reply, I felt a pat on my back, and behind me, I saw Jacques with a forced smile.
"Well done boy, you have some experience when it comes to a fight." He exclaimed, the rest of the guests began to murmur m agreement, and I saw money being handed around.
'I'm not surprised about that, serves them right for betting against me.' I thought.
'There racists, they aren't smart when it comes to this kind of situation.' Said my grandfather.
'Fair.' With the fight over, I thought we were going to return to the ball room, o didn't expect what the bastard did next.
"Who else wishes to go against the boy?" He asked the people, and instantly, multiple hands rose up and men and women shouted to challenge me next.
Weiss looked at me with guilt, Blake was afraid at what happened, while both Ilia and Sienna seethed in rage.
"Well, it seems the show isn't over boy." He said with a smug look on his face.
I could only force a smile as this happened, but I nodded my head in agreement at my situation.
I had no choice but to return to the training ground to prepare to face one opponent after another.
Once arriving at the lower floor, I made sure to unfurl my whip. While waiting, I began to prepare a plan when facing m6 opponents.
'Should have you two help me? Since I'll be here for a while.' Hearing my question, both my mother and grandfather stayed silent.
'I think it would be a good idea, since you don't have enough stamina to face most of them.' Said my mother, my grandfather just snorted.
'I'll be sitting this one out, I might end up breaking a body or two.' I was confused at his words, so I had to ask.
'You meant a bone or two, right?' I asked hopefully.
'…'
'Right?' I asked the second time, but I received nothing in return.
'It's for the best if it's just me sweetie.' I only nodded my head and waited for my first opponent to arrive.
The first person to arrive in front of me was a woman, her combat attire consisted of white pants with a red dress shirt.
On one hand was a double bladed ax, and in the other hand was a dagger. Finally, on her left hand was a small silver ring. She had a bored look on her face when she walked in, and yawned.
"Look kid, I still have morals, so just surrender, there's no shame in quitting." I only bowed at her offer, but cracked the whip.
"I thank you for the offer, but I have to refuse." I said, she grinned at my words and kicked the flat side of the ax, placing the handle on her shoulder.
'If I did refuse, they'd just call me a coward.' I thought and prepared myself for the fight. As the two of us looked at one another, she made the first move.
She first threw the dagger at me while also running up from behind, seeing that she wanted to distract me from her attack, I gripped the handle of the dagger and rolled to the side.
"Not bad, guess your smart for an animal." She said while throwing the axe in my direction.
I was confused on why she did that, but I wasn't going to use her weapon against her. As the ax flew by me, I saw that she frowned at me dodging.
But she ran towards me and jumped, as she rose in the air, she raised her leg up to do an ax kick.
But not before a knife appearing at the back of her shoe, covered in electric dust. I had to use the whip to wrap her leg and pull it to the side.
Doing so, caused her to move with the whip, landing on her side. As she laid there, I made my way to the ax and began to observe the handle.
I was about to reach out for it but not before I heard multiple clicks, I instantly retraced my hand, and the handle opened up.
Revealing the handle had hidden slots with electric dust sticking out like spikes, I could only turn at the woman, who had her hand pressing the ring she had on her finger.
"That's all the tricks I had, time for plan b." She said and ran at me again, this time, she passed by me and gripped her ax and tried to swing at me.
Seeing that she is taking this a bit more serious, I used the dagger I grabbed and parried her blow.
But she didn't let up and tried to kick me from the side, her speed was not too fast, compared to my mother and grandfather, she was slow.
But I didn't want to use all my cards, so I decided to tank the hit by raising both my arms to the side.
However, I felt myself flying in the air and looking at the ceiling. I had to flip backwards to readjust myself, and looked at the ground.
She twisted her body to have her leg sticking up, while she used the ax as a handle to balance herself.
Once she faced me, she jumped up to try and strike me from below. Not only was I stuck in the air, but I had a weapon coming at me from underneath.
'Mom, a little help?' I felt my senses being taken over, she twisted my body in the air, having me lay parallel to the ground.
'Not helping, not helping!' I mentally screamed at my mother, she made my body pull the whip and wrap it around her hand.
Creating a makeshift gauntlet, she then pulled the arm back and punched the ax. I expected the whip to be torn, but with how dense the whip is, I was sent flying higher.
'You're welcome sweetie.' My mother chirped, giving my body back to me.
Once I gained control once again, I unfurled it and looked at the damage. Since the whip was used as a gauntlet, I could see small chip marks.
I sighed and soon returned my focus back at the woman, she stared at me in disbelief at what happened, she then composed herself and began to rush at where I would land.
But before she could do anything, I sent my whip towards her. I tried to aim af her body, but she blocked it with the handle of her ax.
But I didn't let this deter what I tried to do, I pulled with all my might, pulling the ax out of her hand.
With her weapon gone, I began to spin in the air. After a few seconds, I made sure to flick the whip at her, sending the ax at her spinning.
Seeing her ax flying towards her, she dived to the side. The ax itself embedded into the floor, the woman tried to grab it, but pulled back when the tip of the whip hit her hand.
I landed on the edge of the ax, staring at her with a smile. In my other hand was the dagger I had, and I raised at at her.
"If I were you, I'd surrender." Seeing that she had the disadvantage in reach and in close quarter, she raised her hand with a smile.
"Not bad kid, not bad at all." I hopped off her weapon and pulled it out of the ground. Once handing it to her, she took her ax.
Before I could give back her dagger, she raised her hand and shook her head.
"Keep it, my family follows a tradition, the winner will keep one thing that belongs to us, so I'll give you my dagger." She said with a smile.
"Thank you, what is your name?" I asked the woman, she giggled at my question and bent down, tracing her finger along my jaw.
"Call me Rory, Rory mercury, litt-le boy~." Before she could continue, I felt something wrap around me.
Looking down, I saw Sienna's weapon wrapped around my waist, and I was tugged hard.
Before I realized, my face was in between her chest. I was confused on how this happened, but I soon forgot all about it.
"Well then, I can say that tonight's entertainment was fun, wasn't it?" Jacques asked with a forced smile again.
The people began to clap and cheer, while some had a large frown, looking at me with murder.
I only smiled and stuck out my tongue, causing their frowns to grow. After the two fights, everyone began to leave the party.
Many gave thanks to Jacques for the food and entertainment, while some humans begrudgingly gave me some money.
Giving me thanks for winning the bet, I was able to accumulate five hundred lien. Seeing the money I earned, Blake looked at me with kitten eyes.
"Brother, can you buy me fish?" She asked me with a cute voice, but before I could answer, I felt something pushing me forward.
Looking back, I saw Weiss hugging me. Her eyes were shining with stars, and she had a smile.
"You were amazing, the fact that you were able to twist in the air. Even using your whip as a gauntlet, did you infuse your aura?" She asked, I only chuckled at her words and patted her head.
Causing her to let me go and blush, she looked at the floor and gripped her dress. But she didn't raised her head.
"I just had a good teacher." I replied and began to leave, but before I got far, Weiss rushed in front of me and held her scroll in front of me.
"C-can I have your number? I-I want to s-spar with you sometime." Seeing this, I smiled and began to type my number.
Once doing so, she did a curtesy and soon began to walk away. For some reason, I felt something click, it was the same when k was with Pyrrha.
I was brought out of my thoughts by Sienna who ruffled my hair and grinned at me.
"Look at you, getting all the pretty girls. Who knows how many hearts you'll break." Sienna teased me, I could only blush at her words and looked to the side.
"Sienna, it's not like that, it's just a friendly spar." As the four of us walked away, Blake was lagging behind, she held her hands to her chest and looked to the floor.
"Aiko blushed when it came to Pyrrha, the same happened to Weiss." She muttered while walking.
"Even when Sienna is teasing him, he is blushing as well." She then stopped and began to see me blushing while Sienna kept teasing me.
"Am I not pretty for you, Aiko?"
